it's the whole basis of the Open Source Software/Open Hardware movement. What you're talking about is the ability to leverage the effort of others. Can anyone provide a pointer to a good resource that would be helpful for those of us making the upgrade from Uno/Leonado to the chipKit u32. This would be an extremely helpful resource to have. In light that Adafruit is now offering the chipKit u32 for sale is there an effort being made to support migration of the custom Adafruit shield libraries from one platform to the other and if so where can we find more about that process.

As a result I have recently migrated to the chipKit u32 to alleviate that problem but now find myself with supporting libraries for my Arduino shields which although pin compatible may no longer work on the new platform. So I as I am sure have others started a project with an Arduino which incorporated several Adafriut shields. Adafriut is now offering the chipKit u32 along with its other products as well.

If for no other reason they offer the capacity for larger programs and higher clock speeds. It would appear that the chipKits and in particular the chipKit u32 are here to stay.
